Beer and malt beverages

Using ShipCompliant to set up and register your beer or malt beverage products? Here are some tips to make the process easier.

Setting up products

Read All about products to understand the basics of product setup in ShipCompliant.

For beer and malt, make sure to select 1 under # of Containers per SKU. If you're importing products, make sure to fill out this field with 1s in the import template.

Registering low-ABV products

Products with an ABV below 7% (such as hard seltzer and kombucha) will need to be registered as a NO COLA label. ShipCompliant doesn't pull label information for low-ABV products through our integration with the TTB, so you'll register these products slightly differently.

  1. Make sure to add your products on the Setup - Products page first.
  2. Add images to the products you'd like to register.

    1. JPG or PNG images are preferred. PDF images are discouraged.
  3. Adjust the physical dimensions of your image manually, even if the image has a fixed height and width.

    1. Always select Brand (front) as the type of image, even if the image also covers the back of the container.
  4. Go to Registrations - State-New and click New Registration.

  5. Select the type of registration you need.
  6. Click to register a low ABV product (no COLA).

  7. Select your product type and fill out the label description.

  8. Click Fix to associate products with your new label.

  9. Search for your products and add them to the registration. Then exit the registration flow.
  10. Go to Setup - Labels/COLAs and look for your new newly created registration. You should see a green check mark indicating that you've linked your product to a label.
