Carolyn:
Managing users in your ShipCompliant account is a simple process and is an important aspect of your account setup because it allows as many members of your team to contribute to your workflow as you need. Additionally, when new people join your team, or when someone leaves your team, you can change their access. I'm Carolyn and in the next two minutes, I will walk you through how to add users in your ShipCompliant account and how to manage their access.

Carolyn:
To begin, locate the account settings tab or gear tool, and scroll down to users. On this page, you will see a list of all your current users. To add a new user, click the green add user button. Here you will be asked a series of questions about the user and you will be asked to select a role type. The four main types of user roles include supplier administrator, supplier user, compliance consultant user, and web service user.

Carolyn:
Each user type has access to different functions of ShipCompliant. The supplier administrator has full access to orders, fulfillment, reporting, account setup, billing, and all account features and tools. Basically, the supplier administrator has access to everything. The supplier user has limited access to orders, fulfillment, reporting, and tools. The compliance consultant user has limited access to reporting, compliance tools, and limited account setup. The web service user is a role type that is used to connect ShipCompliant to an integrated partner system. Users within your company should not be configured as web service users. If you have a user that requires limited access, but that doesn't fit into one of these user roles I just described , contact us and we may be able to create a custom user for you.

Carolyn:
For more information on all user types, please visit our support page. One last thing, for web service users, once you have selected the web service role type, you will need to authorize your single sign on settings. These settings control which partner technologies are granted permission to automatically sign in as this user. This allows seamless switching between a partner system and ShipCompliant without having to re enter a username and password. After this is complete, simply click save and add and remove users as needed.
