Petra:
Hi, I'm Petra, and this is Hannah. Today, we're going to talk to you about registration settings. We've worked with hundreds of clients generating their brand and label registrations.
Hannah:
And we've realized that no two companies do things in the exact same way.
Petra:
Our registration settings help accommodate for ways that you're different.
Hannah:
It can help you generate customized registration packets.
Petra:
Your cover letters any way you like them, every time. Let's take a look.
Zoe:
You can customize what goes on your registrations in ShipCompliant, especially what appears on those cover letters. Cover letters like this one. So this is a pretty customized cover letter that we've created in ShipCompliant. And in the next couple of minutes, I'm going to walk you through how to apply customizations to your registration packets.
Zoe:
So first go to your account settings and product registration settings, and then you'll see three tabs. You'll want to glance through the information in each of these to make sure that everything is configured to your preferences. I'm going to go over some of the more common adjustments that people make. The first one is New Jersey product registration settings. This will allow you to include future vintages on New Jersey product registrations. If you select zero here, you'll need to register your vintages one at a time.
Zoe:
Next, let's take a look at paper registration settings. Custom distribution appointment letters here are a really great feature of ShipCompliant because in these four states, they actually require you to list all of your products on the cover letter, which can be really tedious to do manually. Instead, you can just edit the cover letter here, which is going to automatically preview in the pane below, and we'll list all of your products on that cover letter. So, that's really great. Next in New York, if you sell wine and you want to do a registration, you're going to need to check this box in order to select New York as a state in the registration workflow. On to Tennessee. If you don't check this box, you'll just have the ability to register new brands in ShipCompliant. If the box is checked, you'll also be able to register revisions and line extensions. The overnight address. This allows you to use specific overnight mailing address for states, which can be really good if you're in a rush. And then everything else, I would say on this page is pretty cosmetic. If for whatever reason your logo is taking up half a page, then just make sure that this box is checked here to scale it.
Zoe:
Last, I'm going to take a look at the electronic registration settings. If you e-file your registrations in Florida, Montana, Michigan, or Rhode Island, make sure that you enable them here. And then whenever you want, whenever you make a change to any of these tabs, you'll just want to save that change before you continue. Yeah, so there's a lot of customization that you can do within these settings. So take a look and if you have any questions, feel free to reach out to our support team.
Hannah:
Thanks for watching.
Petra:
Now go customize those cover letters.
Hannah:
Scale that logo.
Petra:
Put on an overnight shipping address.
Hannah:
Add New Jersey vintages.
Petra:
Put your company's slogan at the bottom as a footer.
