How to enter direct-to-consumer orders manually

  • Updated

There are multiple ways to add order information into ShipCompliant. Manual order entry works best for single orders, such as a tasting room order.

If, instead, you have multiple orders that need to be entered, read all about importing direct-to-consumer orders.

  1. In ShipCompliant, go to the Orders tab, then click Enter Direct Orders.

  2. Click the Manual Order Entry tab near the top of the page.

  3. Enter the basic order information.
    • Hover over the information icon for more details on each piece of data.
    • Required information is indicated by a red asterisk (*).
  4. Click Continue.
  5. Enter the customer’s billing information.
  6. Click Continue.
  7. Type in the customer, shipment and product information in the Shipping Info section.
    • Hover over the information icon for more details.

    • If you have more than one shipment, click Add Another Shipment. For example, if you’re shipping 2 cases you’ll have different tracking numbers for each box.

    • Click Continue.

  8. Continue through the Confirm Order and Submit Order steps.
    • If you selected the Check for Compliance option in step 1, you’ll see the order’s compliance results.
      • After reviewing any compliance failures if Check for Compliance was selected, choose your preferred Save Orders option:
        1. All Shipments
        2. Compliant Shipments
        3. OnlyNone (Compliance Check Only)
      • Click Finish

    • The order will save automatically without a compliance check if you selected the Save Order (Do Not Check for Compliance) option; or, if you selected Check for Compliance and Save Order (if Compliant), the order will save if the compliance check was successful.
  9. Your shipment(s) have been saved.
      • Click View Invoice to view a PDF copy of the invoice information.
        • If you have a pop-up blocker on, you’ll need to turn it off first.
      • Click Done to return to step 1.
