In some states, registering a label for wholesale distribution will also register it for direct-to-consumer distribution. This means that only one registration is required per COLA/product to sell both wholesale and direct-to-consumer as long as you are licensed to do both. This applies to Connecticut, Michigan, Montana, New Jersey, Ohio, South Dakota and West Virginia.
For the most updated information, please refer to our State Details pages by going to the Compliance tab, then clicking on State Details.

Documenting existing direct-to-consumer and 3-tier registrations
If you’ve already registered your labels and don’t need to submit a registration, you can document the approved label registration details in ShipCompliant, including which license distribution type (direct-to-consumer, 3-tier, or both) is applicable. This may be necessary if you are failing compliance checks due to label registration requirements.
Read about how to create a record for existing registrations.
After you’ve entered your approved label registrations, label registration required compliance checks should be compliant when you enter new orders.
