Add product prices in bulk

You can change product prices individually within your ShipCompliant account, but if you need to update a lot of prices at once, a bulk import is a faster option. There are 2 ways to add prices in bulk: in Setup Products, and in Setup Wholesale Prices. In, Products, you’ll find a blank template to add new product data, while in Wholesale Prices, you can export a pre-populated file that includes product details from your account.

Bulk importing in Setup Products

Use the blank template in Products if you are entering new product information into ShipCompliant, or are updating a lot of product information at once.

1. In ShipCompliant, go to Setup, then click Products.
   
   
   
   
2. Click Import Products.
   
   
   
   
3. Select the import template that suits your needs.
   • The ShipCompliant import template allows you to create or update products and specify product price by FOB and by state.
   • The Advanced Pricing import template includes all the ShipCompliant fields, and adds fields for Price Discount Notes.
   • The Lite Pricing import template is a pared-down version that allows you to import and update prices only for existing products.
   • The VAP/Combo/Kit import template allows you to create new combos/kits from existing products or update pricing for existing combo/kit products.
     
     
     
     
4. Add your data to the template. Click the Column Descriptions tab for descriptions of all how to enter the data into the .xls sheet.
   
   
5. Once you are finished updating the template, return to the ShipCompliant Import Products page, click Choose File, and select your completed template. Then click Upload.
   
   
   
   

Bulk importing in Setup Wholesale Prices

Set prices using Wholesale Prices to update existing information in your account, or if you’re importing prices for price posting.

1. In ShipCompliant, go to Setup, then click Wholesale Prices.
   
   
   
   
2. Click Export.
   
   
   
   
3. Select the import template that suits your needs from the dropdown.
   • Lite Pricing (most common) is a pared-down version that allows you to import and update prices only for existing products.
   • ShipCompliant Excel and ShipCompliant CSV allow you to create or update products and specify product price by FOB and by state.
   • Advanced Pricing includes all the ShipCompliant fields, and adds fields for Price Discount Notes.
4. Select FOB points to include
   • Selecting Include All FOB Points includes all products and prices, and is the most thorough option.
   • Include Default FOB Point Only. This option will show if you have more than 1 FOB point.
   • Include a specific FOB point only. This option will show for each FOB point you have, if you have more than 1.

5. Add your data to the template. Click the Column Descriptions tab to read descriptions of all template fields.
   
   
   
6. Once you are finished updating the template, return to the ShipCompliant Manage Wholesale Prices page, click Choose File and select your completed template. 
   
   
   
   
7. Select the Create Legacy Price Postings checkbox if you want to prevent price posting submissions from being created. When you select this box:
   • • No price posting submission requirement will be created. 
     • A historical record of existing price postings for each product with a price will be created.
8. Click Import.
