How to add a new user

You can add new users to ShipCompliant and give them access to specific parts of your account. Choosing a role type gives you control over how much access the user has.

Adding a user

1. In ShipCompliant, click Settings, then click Users.
   
   
   
   
2. Click Add User.
   
   
   
   
3. Enter the user's first name, last name, email address, a new password, and role type.
   • The new user will log in to ShipCompliant with the email address and password you enter.
4. Click Save.
   
   
   
   

User role types

Assigning user roles determines the type of access each user will have in your ShipCompliant account.

These are the user role types you can choose from:

• Supplier Administrator. This role has full access to all parts of the ShipCompliant account, including:
  • Orders
  • Fulfillment
  • Reporting  
  • Account Setup
  • Billing
  • All account features and tools

• Supplier User. This role is restricted only to order entry, fulfillment, and reporting sections of ShipCompliant, including:
  • Orders  
  • Fulfillment
  • Reporting
  • Tools

• Compliance Consultant. This role is restricted primarily to compliance tools, reporting, and setup areas, including:
  • Reporting
  • Compliance Tools  
  • Limited account setup (Licenses, Brand Registration, Labels, and Label Registration)
    
• COLA User. This role is restricted to the COLA portal, a special ShipCompliant view made for looking up and downloading COLAs for all brands in your account. Users in this role won't have access to other ShipCompliant features.
• LabelVision User. This role is restricted to LabelVision Search and Monitoring. Users in this role can utilize LabelVision tools to look up COLAs and monitor competition. Read more about LabelVision.
  
• Sales Person User. This role is restricted to the Solicitor Portal, a special ShipCompliant view made for users in sales and marketing roles. Users in this role won't have access to other ShipCompliant features. The Solicitor Portal gives access to:
  • COLA lookups
  • State registration search
  • LabelVision search and monitoring
    
• Supplier Marketing User. This role is restricted to the Solicitor Portal, a special ShipCompliant view made for users in sales and marketing roles. Users in this role won't have access to other ShipCompliant features. The Solicitor Portal gives access to:

  • State registration search
  • LabelVision search and monitoring
    
• Wholesaler Representative. This role is restricted to the Distributor Compliance Portal, a special ShipCompliant view. When adding a user in this role, you can also specify which state they are a representative for. These state settings control what information the user will be able to see in the Wholesaler portal. Only labels that are registered and distributed in the state specified will be visible.
• Web Service User. This role type is used to create a link between ShipCompliant and integrated third parties. Read more about adding web service users here.
