Custom distributor appointment letters

Some states require you to tell them which products or labels you’re selling to which distributors in their state. Most of the time, you can alert the state of these distributor relationships via a simple distributor assignment letter. In ShipCompliant, you can customize these distributor appointment letters for the following states:

  • Connecticut
  • Missouri
  • New York
  • Tennessee
  • West Virginia

Generating custom distributor appointment letters

  1. In ShipCompliant, click Settings, then click Account Settings.

  1. Click on Product Registrations.

  1. Click the Paper Submission Settings tab at the top of the screen.

  1. In the Configure Custom Distributor Appointment Letters section, click Edit Template, Delete Template or Add Template for each state appointment letter you’d like to edit.

  1.  Edit the intro and closing text, then click Save.
    • After saving the appointment letter template, the letter will automatically appear in registrations. You’ll need to regenerate any existing registrations in order for the new letter to be included.

    6.   Go to Registrations and click State - Existing.

    7.   Select an existing registration by clicking on it, and then click Regenerate to include your new appointment letter on an existing registration packet.

    8.   Scroll down to Supporting Documentation. Make sure your letter is marked as Included. If not, click Edit and check the box to include it with your registration packet.
