All about products

Product information is one of the most important building blocks for your ShipCompliant account. Once you’ve added products to your account, you can start associating them with labels, registering them with states, and adding them to orders for fulfillment.

Hiding products from view

You might have too many products to navigate through - you can hide (or retire) the products rather than delete them. This won’t get rid of their information permanently, but will allow you to browse your products without seeing old or irrelevant results.

1. In ShipCompliant, go to Setup, and click Products.
   
   
   
   
2. Find the product you wish to hide. Hover over it, and click Edit on the right.
   
   
   
   
3. Deselect the checkboxes for both Wholesale and Direct. Click Save.
   
   
   
   
4. To view retired products, select either Retired (Not Distributed) or All Products (Including Retired Products) from the Product Distribution dropdown.
   
   

Similarly, you can also hide labels from view.

Creating a fortified wine product

1. In ShipCompliant, go to Setup and click Products.
   
   
   
   
2. Click Add New, or click Edit next to an existing product.
   
   
   
   
3. Enter your product information.

1. 1. Select Wine from the Product Type dropdown.
   2. Check the Is Fortified? Box.
      
      

4. Click Save.

Setting up product distribution preferences

1. Go to Setup, then click Products.
   
   
   
   
2. Click Add New.
   
   
   
   
3. Check either Wholesale or Direct or both.
   
   
   
4. Click Save.
